Our last entry in the minimalist food collection is the Yellow Melon (Canary Melon). 

According to Wikipedia:

¨The Canary melon or winter melon is a large, bright-yellow elongated melon with a pale green to white inner flesh. This melon has a distinctively sweet flavor that is slightly tangier than a honeydew melon. The flesh looks like that of a pear but is softer and tastes a little like a cantaloupe.¨

-Canary Melon is good keeping a lid on calories, but it’s also a good source of nutrients that help you fight off disease.

-You know when the Yellow Melon is ripe when its hard rind turns bright yellow, it develops a corrugated look and a slightly waxy feel and its flesh will be pale ivory in color.
